FAMOUS PEOPLE AND SCULPTURES

  When we went to the temples in Egypt, I realized that the famous people of Egypt were the pharaohs. For example, Second Ramses, Hatşepsut, Seventh Cleopatra, and many more. You can find a lot of information about them in their graves. People had a lot of respect for them. The person who showed us around told us the stories of these pharaohs. It was the story of Hatşepsut that upset me the most. She was forced to marry her half-brother, who was from the same father. Because in Ancient Egypt, the king should have been of noble lineage, but her brother was half-noble. In addition, the temples of Hatşepsut and Second Ramses are very famous sculptures. These buildings are really places worth seeing.

  I asked the guide who took us around about a famous person from Egypt who had recently lived. This person is Ummu Gulsum who is very famous in the Middle East. I research her story myself because I was curious. Her story is also really very sad. As a child, she had to sing in different villages with men's clothes because at that time it was not right for women to sing in public. Then I realized that there are still photos of her in some shops. You can hear her song as you pass through the narrow and old streets.
